There are plenty of clever, helpful baby products out there - and then thereβs the stuff that sounds amazing but ends up collecting dust. This is your skip-it list: the gimmicks, the βmust-havesβ that arenβt, and the things you can feel very good about leaving off your list.

Baby Beabas or baby food prep machine. Your own food processor is EXACTLY the same thing, and easier to clean / store. If you have a Vitamix, you're also in good shape here.

Bottle sterilizer / dryer. Take up so much space and are a pain - just use really hot water and soap. Pour boiling water over things 1/week. Yes, even with a newborn! They're huge and bulky and so annoying.

Formula Dispensers / Mixers / Baby Brezzas. Trust us - just add the water before the powder, then shake. These make things unnecessarily complicated and make feeding on the go such a struggle.

Wipe Warmers

Baby specific dresser / change tables (these get an automatic premium applied - almost any dresser will work!)

Nursery specific rocker / chair (not everyone has the space for this, and you might prefer to invest in a chair you can use again elsewhere!)
